Welcome to the BC Women in Energy Network (BC WEN); a non-profit society formed to be a vehicle for supporting and encouraging women in the BC energy sector to engage with one another, for young women to learn and realise their goals in the industry, and for leaders to share knowledge and experience.  The BC WEN will provide networking opportunities through online social media tools and in-person events.  In the future, we hope to hold skill development workshops, and to create a mentorship program.

I would like to introduce the BC WEN founding board of directors, and thank them for their support and involvement:

Getting Involved

 

The BC WEN is design to be an interactive network, and will only be as useful and strong as its members and participants make it.  Therefore, we encourage all interested parties (men and women!) to engage with us through email, our blog, and our LinkedIn group, and twitter.   These are not tools for us to just tell you information, they are for creating discussions and most importantly, hearing from you.  We consider all of you advisors and want your input and ideas on what the BC WEN should and could be. 

We are currently in the process of designing our brand image and website, and will release information on society membership shortly.  We are also planning a launch reception in the spring, so please stay tuned!
