Clean Energy BC's Annual General Meeting took place on June 11th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Thank you to Ernie George of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation for opening the event and The Honourable Rich Coleman, Minister of Energy and Mines for being our keynote speaker. To read more about Minister Coleman's comments, please read the blog post. At this year's AGM, we added a "experts" panel entitled “Finding Certainty for Clean Energy in an Uncertain Time”. Clean Energy BC's Chairman, Donald McInnes, moderated the session with the following speakers: Harvie Campbell, Principal, Bastion Power: "Embracing the Role of Gas as a Transition Fuel." John Johnson, Principal, Clean Balance Power Inc.: "Clean Technologies for Storage and Advancement Through Innovation." Kent Brown, President & CEO at BluEarth Renewables Inc.: "Finding Development Niches and Opportunities - Becoming More Creative." Ross Beaty, Executive Chairman, Alterra Power Corp.: "A Global Perspective - Opportunity Through Diversity." The Association's members elected three new board members. We are pleased to welcome: Colleen Giroux-Schmidt of Innergex, Dan Woznow of AltaGas and re-elected Board member, Mike Wise.
