Clean Energy BC has been very pleased with the open lines of communication with the Environmental Assessment Office throughout the Environmental Assessment Revitalization Process. There has been much open dialogue and we have felt that our industry’s concerns were heard and appreciated.
One specific point we would like to highlight is the proposal to change Environmental Assessment Certificate fees to an annual obligation. When we raised our concerns about the unfair impact this would have on the clean energy industry due to our fixed EPA contracts, the fee structure was changed back to a fee-per-service model.
We look forward to working more with the Environmental Assessment Office in the future.
