This presentation will summarize the White Paper that CEBC published in 2018 entitled The Electrification of British Columbia. It describes four areas where extensive electrification will be necessary for B.C. to meet its legislated GHG Reduction levels in 2030.
The four areas are:
(1) Built Environment (especially air and ground source heat pumps and waste heat recovery),
(2) Transport (especially electric vehicles),
(3) LNG and Upstream Gas, and
(4) Electrifying the Montney.
